Walt is our newest foster. Walt is going to have a very good new year, he already has a home waiting on him!
Limu is an abosolutely adorable little tuxedo girl. She's just a tad bit on the timid side so she needs to go to a home with another dog. Another greyhound in the home would be perfect for her. Being with other dogs makes her feel safe and comfortable.
Limu is cat friendly and gets along beautifully with all her foster greyhound brothers & sisters.
We're calling her LiLi, and she's super smart. Started using the dog door almost immediately just by following the other greyhounds. She's also a smiler. We haven't had a smiler in a long time. It's very cute. She's also young, just turned 2 years old in March.
She is done with rehab for her leg, she's been spayed and had her dental and had all her vaccinations updated so she's ready for her forever home!
They just don't come any cuter than Paige. She's such a happy go lucky little girl! She's had a couple of people inquire about her but as soon as I mentioned she had a broken leg previously and it had been repaired with surgery and she is good as new now, they no longer had any interest in her. Very sad for those people...they missed out on the best little girl ever!
Paige is a little cutie1 She's a youngster too, she'll be 2 years old in June 2017. She's very laid back for such a young age and she's gets along with all the other greyhounds in her foster home. Not sure how she feels about small dogs and kitties though.
She is done with rehab on her leg, she' been spayed and had her dental. She is all ready for her new home! As you can see...she's a happy little girl!
Don't tell Chief...Soon he'll go in for his neuter and dental. Then he will be all ready for adoption!
Meet Chief our newest foster! He's absolutely and adorable boy. Very laid back, very sweet and easy going. He gets along beautifully with the other greyhounds in his foster home. Chief will be 4 years old in June of 2017. Chief LOVES to kill the stuffies and he's a really smart boy.
Chief is recovering from a leg injury. Chief will be available for adoption the end of March 2017.
2/26/2017 Update on Chief. He appears to be small animal friendly. He has no reaction to the small dogs and kitties at the vets office. He is the perfect patient and usually takes a short nap during his bandage changes. Two more weeks of bandage changes then 2 more weeks of restricted exercise and then he''ll be ready for his neuter and dental. Then he'll be ready for his forever home!
Sonic was an owner surrender. She's 11 1/2 years old and like all seniors she's an absolute sweetheart. Sonic is small animal friendly. Sonic is very very smart! She learned to use the dog door almost immediately.
She would do best in a quiet home. Sonic likes to Nap and take short trips outside for a little sunbathing. She's a very sweet girl.
Sonic has a chronic condition called CUPS. She only has a few teeth left but it's possible that eventually she will need to have the remaining teeth removed, Some information about CUPS:
Sonic also has corns. While under anesthesia for her last dental the vet hulled her corns but one is coming back. There are different things you can do for corns to make walking more comfortable for the greyhound. Currently I am using a dremel on the one corn that has come back and that is giving her relief.
Greyhounds and corns:
Greyt news for Sonic! Her blood work came back and she was able to have her dental this past week. It was a bit rough on her. She had a lot of extractions. The vet wanted to keep her overnight to keep her on fluids and overall just keep an eye on her.
She is already feeling much better! She will be on antibiotics and pain meds for awhile, but the worst is now behind her.
Sonic has not had such a great life for awhile now but that's all behind her.
Sonic is 11 1/2 years old and we want to do everything we can to ensure her the happiest healthiest life possible from now on.
Now...we just need to fatten her up a bit.
Min had a home visit last week. Everything went well and she'll be going home after she recovers from her spay.
Of course the couple fell in love with little Mini as soon as they met her. Who could resist that face!
